ABOUT
ME

I am originally from Marin County, CA. I began studying psychology in the late 1990's and decided to move to Portland 15 years ago to pursue a formal education at Portland State University. My academic focus was neuroscience research until life circumstances changed everything. I accessed levels of empathy so powerful, it motivated me to change career paths and become a therapist. This transition was bumpy, as I was faced with intense obstacles. I sought therapy to transcend unhealthy habits and limiting beliefs while reaching levels of self-awareness and self-compassion I never thought possible. I use mindfulness-somatic techniques every day and continue to experience physical, psychological, and career-oriented growth. It is my passion and privilege to help others build similar skills and watch themselves heal and thrive.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and I hold a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Portland State University. I worked as a researcher at Oregon Health & Science University in the department(s) of Psychiatry (Center for ADHD Research) and Behavioral Neuroscience (Developmental Brain Imaging Lab).
