I am originally from Marin County, CA where I began studying psychology in the late 1990's. I moved to Portland 15 years ago to purse a formal education. My academic journey began in neuroscience research, but the passing of my father gave me access to a level of empathy so powerful, it motivated me to change career paths and become a therapist. This transition was bumpy, as I was faced with intense obstacles. I sought therapy to transcend unhealthy habits, limiting beliefs, and unresolved suffering. I built mindfulness skills and I learned how to self-regulate. I have reached a level of self-compassion I never thought possible. I use mindfulness techniques every day and continue to experience physical, psychological, spiritual, and career-oriented growth. It is my passion and privilege to help others build similar skills and watch themselves heal and thrive.
*I am a Licensed Professional Counseling (LPC) Intern and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I have a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Portland State University. After undergrad, I sought a four-year rotation at Oregon Health and Science University where I worked in neuroscience research.
