Negative thoughts can make you feel stressed-out and anxious. Mindfulness-somatic counseling can help you develop new ways of relating to these thoughts by learning to experience their emotional components as sensations in the body. Somatic awareness gives you space between unpleasant experiences and your reaction to them, helping you feel more in control and emotionally regulated.

Too much stress lowers the functioning of your immune system, that's why it's important to learn how to manage it. Mindfulness-somatic counseling helps support you in making your health a top priority because mindfulness helps you relieve stress and pressure. Learning to become more tolerant of negative feelings and more accepting of yourself builds resiliency, longevity, and performance.

Mindfulness-somatic counseling involves increasing awareness of physical sensations in the body. In session, we will use deep breathing and relaxation techniques to explore tension and anxiety. I will help you connect your physical experience with your anxious thoughts and feelings in a way that increases clarity and promotes emotion regulation.
